The Russian army is trying to jam the Defense Forces' Starlink terminals using new electronic warfare systems

The occupying forces of the Russian Federation are trying to counter attacks by Ukrainian medium-range drones. To do this, the enemy is deploying powerful electronic warfare systems that are capable of temporarily blocking the operation of the Starlink satellite internet.
This was reported by Reuters, citing Ukrainian commanders and drone operators from the 422nd Unmanned Systems Regiment, which is performing tasks in the Zaporizhia region.
The Ukrainian military is actively using medium-range drones to strike at enemy logistics routes, ammunition and fuel depots tens of kilometers from the front line. Most of these drones are controlled through Starlink terminals from Elon Musk’s SpaceX. This allows pilots to maintain stable communication with the device over long distances.
According to military and communications and drone expert Sergei «Flash» Beskrestnov, the Russian Federation has begun using new electronic jamming stations called «Volna-Kupol-Garant.» This system emits a powerful signal capable of destabilizing Starlink operations within a radius of about 20 square kilometers. So far, the Ukrainian military has discovered about ten such installations.
At the same time, these electronic warfare systems are becoming priority targets for the Ukrainian military. The commander of the drone crew with the call sign «Conductor» said that the 422nd Regiment, together with the SBU, successfully destroyed two enemy stations.
«As soon as we hit this installation, our Starlink-equipped drones flew without any problems,» the military officer noted.
