The first free video course of short exercises has appeared in Ukraine, designed specifically for people who spend a lot of time sitting in front of a monitor. It is designed to provide a quick and correct way to reduce tension and body fatigue.
This is a series of short exercises (2-5 min) that can be done in between tasks. This is the only such video course in Ukraine, developed specifically with experts from the UNBROKEN National Rehabilitation Center and Hillel IT School, the press release states.
The course «(Non)harmful Habits. Short Exercises for Your Body» is based on the principles of microlearning and has seven series. They contain simple and safe exercises for the neck, lower back, arms, eyes, basic tips for organizing the workplace, and debunking interesting stereotypes and myths.
The total duration of the content is approximately 25 minutes. All exercises: do not require special equipment; are performed at a comfortable pace; are adapted to the realities of work and study. The series are available for free on the Hillel Max platform.
«Every day we see patients whose problems started with little things — an awkward posture at the laptop or constant tension in the neck. These videos do not replace a specialist’s consultation, but they help form healthy habits and prevent the development of future problems in time,» said Andriy Novosad, a course instructor and physical therapist at the UNBROKEN Center.

For the educational community and companies, the course is seen as a tool for wellbeing programs — content that can be used in internal channels for employees.
«We see people investing in professional development for years. And it’s really important not to ignore basic body care. This course is an important step to make prevention an accessible and normal part of the workday,» noted Hillel IT School CEO Vadim Drumov.
The authors of the course indicate that it is not only aimed at IT professionals and is suitable for anyone who spends a lot of time sitting: office workers, lecturers and teachers, students who study online, cashiers, etc.
