Fartlek Events is positioned as a single point of entry for runners — instead of searching for starts in different sources, the user gets a centralized catalog of events.
Users can find races across Ukraine, select events by type (trails, classic starts, etc.), and register in one interface.
The product itself looks like a minimalist web service with a focus on quick navigation and simple UX — without overloading with features.
The market for running events, notes Andriy Kurshatsov, the author of the Fartlek project, in Ukraine is still fragmented: each organizer maintains its own website or uses different platforms for registration.
In this model, the user is forced to search for starts manually, switch between sites, and create accounts in different services. Fartlek Events is trying to simplify this — in effect, creating a «start aggregator.»
The platform has just launched and is collecting feedback from users. The key factor for success will be not only the number of runners, but also the connection of event organizers.
If the service manages to gather a critical mass of starts, it could become the basic infrastructure for the running community in Ukraine.
