"I don't know if there's any point in me looking for any job right now. There isn't any". Senior with 18 years of experience is ready to work even for $2,000, but there are zero offers

Hoffmann noted on his LinkedIn that he has 18 years of experience in software development (web, parsers, automation, and blockchain) and is fluent in English. He believes that finding a job in 2025 is «almost impossible,» and applying for vacancies is almost pointless, because there may be «several hundred candidates» for one position.

«It’s not even about money. For me, money is not the only priority. In 2023, I found a job with a salary of more than $7,000 net. But the company ultimately didn’t suit me. Now I was ready to consider even options with a salary of $2,000 net. But there are no such options either», — says the IT worker.

According to him, there is always something that doesn’t suit all employers. Some don’t like his long job search, others aren’t satisfied with his resume, or his qualifications are too high.

«I don’t know if there’s any point in me looking for a job right now. There isn’t,» says Hoffman. In his opinion, it’s much more rational to look for partnerships now and he encouraged people to contact him to work on projects together.

Previously, Arseniy Hofman, together with his partner, lawyer Alex Sniadanko, Arseniy created the hvirtka service, where you can find a friend or companion for all occasions.
