"Sabre" on tracks: ROBONEERS and BUREVII integrate "Sabre" combat modules onto the ARDAL 920 tracked IRC
Ukrainian defense tech companies ROBONEERS and BUREVII have signed a memorandum of cooperation. They will work on integrating remotely controlled combat modules (RCBMs) of the “Shablya” line onto the ARDAL 920 ground robotic complex (GRC). The goal, according to the companies, is to provide units with a mobile combat platform that can be customized for a specific mission.
What is integrated?
"Sabre" is the flagship product of ROBONEERS, which, according to the company, has been operating on the front line since 2023. The modules are controlled from a remote control at a distance of up to 100 m or via Wi-Fi and have a viewing, aiming and thermal imaging camera. The software, including a ballistic calculator, target memorization and setting of firing sectors, was developed by ROBONEERS. The modules are installed "out of the box" on the company’s own NRC and can be supplied with the weapon.
Four modules of the Sabre line are considered:
"Saber 7.62" for PKT type machine guns;
"Saber M240" for M240 type machine guns;
"Sabre K-2" with two AK-74 assault rifles;
"Sabre MK19(M)" for 40 mm grenade launchers of the MK19 and AGL-53 types.
Platform
ARDAL 920 is a tracked NRC from BUREVII for work in high-risk areas. Until now, it has been used for logistics and evacuation. The platform weighs 275 kg, develops up to 14 km/h and can carry 150 kg over a distance of up to 50 km (maximum load — up to 250 kg, in a trailer — up to 300 kg). There are up to four channels for communication: two IP (one via Starlink) and two radio channels, as well as control via an aerial repeater. The complex is controlled via CoreLink — BUREVII’s own software.
The companies say that ARDAL 920 is being developed as an open platform, and after integration, the unit will be able to choose weapons for the task — from assault rifles to grenade launchers on a single ground platform.
About companies
