In early November, SpaceX reported 8 million users. Since then, the service's customer base has grown by more than 20,000 every day, Business Insider reports . The company currently uses 9,000 low-orbit satellites to provide Starlink communications.
Overall, SpaceX demonstrated rapid growth throughout 2025: as of December 2024, the number of Starlink users was 4.6 million, and in August there were already 7 million.
In addition, according to Cloudflare, global web traffic from users of SpaceX's satellite internet service has more than doubled this year.
About two dozen airlines have also announced plans to use Starlink to provide high-speed Wi-Fi on their planes, and SpaceX has hinted that it may soon launch its own satellite-based mobile network .
Next year, the company plans to go public with a valuation of $1.5 trillion.
