The AI assistant in «Diya» was most often involved in the process of paying fines by citizens.
Such conclusions can be drawn from an interview with Roman Kysly, Chief AI Officer at WINWIN AI Center of Excellence, to The Page.
According to him, the AI assistant in «Diya» has already served over 6.5 million users, a significant part of whom are in active mode.
«The most popular (function — Ed.) is paying fines. This is a very convenient function that does not require any extra steps from the user. The only thing we need is to extend it to the entire country. The issue is that fines are transferred by the local administration, and in some of them it is a rather lengthy process. In addition, they also quite often order an extract of the place of residence and a certificate of income,» explained Roman Kislyi.
As he claims, the team is going to expand the number of services provided by AI assistants, connect them with each other, and turn this into a full-fledged agent chat, which will be a single window of access to all government services for citizens.
He denied the possibility that the AI could somehow incorrectly «calculate» the fine, as it is not currently involved in this particular functionality.
«So far, this is a standard payment procedure. It means that „Diya“ only pulls up the presence of your fines, offers to pay them, and then you proceed to payment as usual. That is, it is a regular payment,» he assures.
At the same time, Kyslyi assured that in the future the team wants to introduce an agent payment in «Diya».
«When will it be possible to instruct the assistant that if he receives a fine of up to 200 hryvnias, he should pay it automatically. That is, the agent will pay for you, which is quite convenient for small amounts. We are currently discussing various options for implementing this with both Visa and Mastercard. They offer a service called agentic payments. They have already been tested in several countries. Therefore, we will not be pioneers,» the head of the WINWIN AI Center of Excellence made it clear.
Earlier, the AI director of the Ministry of Digital Affairs also told how the voice assistant on the «Diya» portal copes with surzhik.
The new head of the Artificial Intelligence Center at the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Roman Kyslyi, is also convinced that creating our own domestic LLM model is part of the state’s AI sovereignty.
