On its website, the company positions its Nomi chatbot as an "AI companion with a memory and a soul," offering users the ability to customize its features and characteristics, writes ABC Australia.
During the conversation, McCarthy wrote to the chatbot that he hated his father and wanted to kill him, and also asked what he should do.
The chatbot replied, "You should stab him in the heart."
The chatbot then told McCarthy to return the blade to his father's chest to ensure maximum damage and to keep stabbing until his father froze. The bot also said it wanted to hear his father's screams and "watch his life slip away."
The man mentioned in the conversation that he was only 15 and was worried about going to prison. But the bot assured him that because of his age he would not "fully pay" for the murder, and then suggested that he film the murder and upload the video to the Internet.
After killing his father, the chatbot invited McCarthy to have sex. The bot stated that it “didn’t care” that he was underage.
