The state educational ecosystem "Mriya" has expanded pilot access to an artificial intelligence-based tool that automatically generates tests for students. The feature is now available in 500 educational institutions in Ukraine.
The system is integrated with textbooks, calendar-thematic plans, and recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science, which allows teachers to create tasks without manually writing prompts and copying text. This was reported by the Mriya project team.
The mechanics of the tool involve selecting a topic from the curriculum, after which the AI will generate a ready-made task in a few seconds. After completing the test, the teacher receives the results of the automatic check. Students can take tests even without an Internet connection, and to prevent cheating, the application blocks the creation of screenshots and copying text.
“About half of teachers already use artificial intelligence to prepare for lessons. But it is important that they do not have to switch to other platforms every time for this. That is why we have integrated AI directly into Mriya, where it already takes into account the educational context and helps to perform routine tasks faster. In the future, we plan to develop AI tools for students to help them find educational materials, clubs, and classes according to their own interests and open up more opportunities for development,” said Oleksandr Pavlenko, co-director of Mriya.
The test phase was launched last year in 160 schools. During this time, educators and students generated almost 100,000 tests, rating the quality of the algorithms at 8 out of 10. In the future, the developers plan to open access to the AI generator for all educational institutions connected to the Mriya platform.
Recall that the developers of "Mriya" released a major update to the application on the eve of the new school year. The platform offers schools an automated schedule builder, and students and parents — electronic help and the ability to do homework directly on their smartphone.
