The Ministry of Digital Transformation has already begun internal beta testing of a new AI assistant on the "Diya" portal. This tool will radically change the approach to the interaction of citizens with the state. This was stated by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov in an interview with the "We are Ukraine" TV channel.
"Yesterday we started internal beta testing of this product on the Diya portal. You will be able to get any answer to your question about how to receive government services, or any tips. And we are also immediately launching the first service that can be obtained through an AI agent - this is a certificate of income," said Mikhail Fedorov.
The Minister explained that the system will work on the principle of GPT chat : just write a request and the AI assistant will adapt to the user, offering appropriate services. For example, upon a veteran's request to open his own business, the system will offer available support programs. This will allow receiving services without having to fill out forms or search for information in the menu, making the process as convenient as possible and similar to live communication. The voice request function will appear in the near future.
The main role of the AI assistant for the state is to relieve contact centers, accelerate the provision of services, increase their convenience, and optimize the process of writing regulatory legal acts. According to Fedorov, artificial intelligence will make government services even better and accelerate overall digitalization.
According to the minister, more than 70% of documents received by the Ministry of Digital Affairs from other ministries are analyzed using AI.
Artificial intelligence helps professionals identify opportunities to improve public services and projects. It suggests where digital tools can be introduced and paperless workflows can be eliminated.
"Previously, we did this with a large number of lawyers and experts who reread the documents. Now AI helps us find these problems and areas for improvement," the minister explains.
This approach not only saves public funds, but also significantly improves the quality of services and the overall efficiency of the state.
