SoftServe launches Cisco Gen AI Lab in Frankfurt

This was announced on LinkedIn by Volodymyr Fedak, Engineering Director at SoftServe, adding that this is an important technical milestone for the company.

The laboratory was launched in cooperation with Cisco.

“This is a fundamental step as we continue to scale our AI/ML capabilities across the company. We are grateful for the collaboration with Cisco in implementing this initiative,” said Volodymyr Fedak.

The Cisco AI Pod, which is specifically designed for AI/Gen-AI workloads and LLM deployments, includes:

• over 320 GB of video memory (GPU);
• high-performance fabric networking with low latency;
• enterprise-level observability and workload orchestration;
• Cisco UCS X-Series computing systems with an AI-optimized stack.

According to Fedak, this environment will allow SoftServe teams to:

• quickly prototype and test AI workloads, RAG pipelines;
• evaluate the performance of artificial intelligence on a large scale;
• develop AI services that meet data locality requirements and regulatory compliance needs;
• Seamlessly integrate hybrid workloads in the cloud and on-premises.

“The lab offers benefits in both performance and regulatory requirements, supporting use cases where data sovereignty and low-latency access are critical,” added Volodymyr Fedak.
