According to ZDnet, this page is currently unavailable. «Starlink is launching a new affordable way to deliver high-speed internet. One Starlink antenna, multiple subscribers — each with their own Starlink account and uninterrupted access,» the Community description said.
Currently, each Starlink subscriber needs their own antenna. The connection can be shared between multiple devices in a home, but not between multiple accounts. The Community service will likely allow multiple users from different routers to connect to a single antenna — for example, in apartment buildings or apartment complexes.
This will reduce the monthly subscription price for each user, as well as the initial cost of setting up the hardware. Community will reportedly cost $60 per month ($20 less than Residential Lite and half the price of the standard Residential plan at $120).
It is currently unknown how many accounts can join the Community, but the support page has a «Subscription History» section that contains up to 10 lines. It is possible that up to 10 users can use the subscription.
SpaceX has not officially commented on this service, but if it is launched, it could make Starlink satellite internet even more accessible.
Recall that after a large-scale failure of the Starlink satellite Internet on July 25, some users began to notice a significant increase in connection speed. SpaceX accidentally revealed the real cause of the incident during a notification to resellers.
