Forbes' list of the world's richest people has grown by 400 billionaires in the past year, bringing its total to 3,428. Their combined wealth has reached a record $20.1 trillion, up $4 trillion from last year.
The United States continues to lead the world in terms of billionaires, with a record 989, including 15 in the top 20. China (including Hong Kong) is next with 610, and India (229) is a close third. Stock prices and exchange rates as of March 1, 2026, were used for the calculations.
The top ten richest people in the world are, of course, headed by Elon Musk, whose fortune is growing annually and has reached $839 billion. It is also noticeable that the majority of the top ten are representatives of the technology sector.

The top seven richest Ukrainians according to Forbes was headed by Rinat Akhmetov, who ranked 472nd. His fortune decreased from $7.9 billion to $7.8 billion over the year.
The only representative of the IT sector on the list is Vlad Yatsenko, who is in 1913th place with a fortune of $2.2 billion. In 2025, he occupied 2623rd position with a capital of $1.2 billion.
