"Christmas came to the Zone early". S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will receive a free update with new quests

«Strange things are starting to happen near Malachite in the western part of the map. Research teams sent by scientists reported a signal that was interfering with their normal communication via PDA. After listening to this signal, stalkers suffered from headaches, nosebleeds, and hallucinations,» said Brand Manager at GSC Game World studio Mykyta Gorodivsky.

The update with new content will add to STALKER 2:

• 8 quests for several hours of gameplay;
• 7 locations to explore;
• 6 characters with their own stories;
• a unique weapon — a modified version of the GP37 rifle with a built-in silencer;
• new hub.

According to the developers, the new quests will take players to the Garbage Dump, Military Depots, City Boiler Room, Railway Depot near Malachite, and Volkhov MANPADS. Some previously empty locations will be repopulated with stalkers.

The developers also added a new hub in a «not very populated area of ​​the Burnt Forest», where there will be a technician, trader, medic, guide, a place to rest, and a hideout.

The Untold Stories update will be free for owners of the original game and will be released on December 16th.
