Uklon co-founder Dmytro Dubrovskyi, after selling the company to Kyivstar for $155 million, launched his own startup studio. It will work in two areas at once — IT and DefenseTech.
Dubrovsky spoke about this during Forbes Money on May 28.
According to him, the studio is already launching the first prototypes of products — both for the international IT market and for the front. «We’ll see what happens,» he said.
Dubrovsky has not yet revealed the name of his partner in the new project.
The entrepreneur himself explains the decision quite simply: after more than 20 years in the taxi market, he wanted to move on. «I have expertise in the taxi industry, because I’ve been there since 2004. I’m already a little tired of this market,» he noted.
Recall that in 2025, Dubrovsky, together with other co-founders, sold 97% of Uklon shares to Kyivstar for $155 million. This is one of the largest M&A deals in Ukrainian IT in recent years. At the time of the sale, the service made about 135 million trips per year. The company’s revenue was $101 million, and the active monthly audience was 3.6 million users.
In parallel, Dubrovsky is also a co-founder of the Nezlamni investment fund, which focuses on DefenseTech investments.
