This is stated on the HENSOLDT website, Suspilne reports .
In the joint project, HENSOLDT will be responsible for the production, testing and supply of radar systems for the missile defense system and will support their integration into the overall system.
For this, the German company will use the TRML-4D radar.
In turn, Fire Point will be the general contractor and will assume responsibility for the design of the missile defense system. Fire Point will test and supply its FP-7 missiles, including launchers and system controls.
«The collaboration with Fire Point on the FREYJA project is an important step towards a scaled-up European contribution to ballistic missile defense,» said HENSOLDT CEO Oliver Dörre.
As dev.ua wrote, the FP-7.x ballistic interceptor missile from the Ukrainian defense technology company Fire Point is fully ready and has passed technical performance tests: range, speed, flight altitude, and maneuverability.
Thus, the Ukrainian alternative to Patriot is already close, as Fire Point plans to start producing low-cost FP-7.X anti-missile interceptors in August.
