Fedorov announced this at a meeting with journalists, DOU writes.
«We managed to eliminate the mesh network used by the shaheeds in the north, which had a positive impact on the defense capability of Kyiv and the central part of Ukraine,» the Minister of Defense said in a speech about the results of his first month in office.
According to him, the Ministry of Defense quickly responded to the problem of Russian drones with Starlink and promptly agreed with Elon Musk and SpaceX to disconnect the Russian terminals.
«We were developing a plan on how to register Starlinks, how to build an anti-fraud system. We had many conversations with SpaceX. This is a question not only of Russia’s technological response, but also of the fair use of Western technologies by the aggressor against civilians,» said Fedorov.
He claims that in this way the occupiers were effectively deprived of communication. At the same time, the number of streams from Russians decreased by 11 times, and the interception of radio broadcasts increased significantly.
Earlier, Brigadier General and Commander of the Azov Regiment and the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, Andrey Biletsky, said that the Starlink shutdown had a «huge» impact on the Russian occupation army. He believes that Starlink technology is currently having a significant impact on the course of hostilities. Over the past two weeks, the effectiveness of Russian strikes has deteriorated by 20-40%, Biletsky estimates.
