«A new stage of my development begins. I have come a long and, to some extent, difficult path. A large number of various tasks have been solved. And, in the future, I think there will be no fewer of them.) Almost a year ago, I was just starting to study databases, and now I am launching a full-fledged website, in which I developed almost everything myself,» he noted. Anna Moshenska helped with the design.
Alexey’s project is an aggregator for comparing food prices in 4 popular chains (currently). The service compares prices in Silpo, Varus, Auchan, and Fora. At this stage, stores in Kyiv are available.
«By default, one address per network will be shown to unauthorized users,» the developer notes.
The main feature of the site, he adds, is that the user can save only those addresses of chain stores from which he wants to see products on the site. This will allow you to receive up-to-date information on products in stores near you, without unnecessary movements. Saving is available only to registered users.
There is also the possibility to add products to the «Track List» list and receive notifications on the Telegram bot when the price of the added product has decreased. «This will allow you not to miss the opportunity to buy the product at a reduced price,» explains Oleksiy.
He adds: users can add categories to their favorites, thus creating their own custom category catalog for faster navigation.
«I’ll say right away that for more experienced developers, this work will be far from ideal, especially on the frontend side, because I didn’t have any knowledge in this area at the beginning of October, when I started doing layout. I was learning right away as I went and didn’t have much time to study certain topics in more depth. And with each new day, I saw nuances in the old code, and updated it to the best of my ability. Consider this project at this stage as a „pet“ project of a practical level, and not a full-fledged startup,» the developer explained.
