A Ukrainian developer has created a free subscription tracker with no monthly fee. How does SubEye work?
Ukrainian developer Yegor Gunko created an iOS app called SubEye that helps you keep track of your subscriptions. He says he started the project after he couldn't find a tracker that didn't have severe restrictions in the free version or another subscription.
Ukrainian developer Yegor Gunko created an iOS app called SubEye that helps you keep track of your subscriptions. He says he started the project after he couldn't find a tracker that didn't have severe restrictions in the free version or another subscription.
In SubEye, the user must add a service, its price, and a payment date. The application then calculates how much money will be debited by the end of the month, forecasts expenses for the next month, shows a six-month trend and the most expensive subscription. It also reminds you of upcoming subscription renewals and allows you to mark it as suspended or canceled.
You can also specify multiple price stages. For example, a free trial period, three months at a discount, and the full price after the promotion ends. Then the application will take into account the date when the tariff changes. Subscription data is stored on the device, and you can use iCloud Sync to transfer between devices.
The basic version is free and does not limit the number of subscriptions. You can also purchase the Pro version, which adds reminders about the end of trial periods, custom notification times, tracking of upcoming price changes, categories, and widgets on the home screen.
According to the developer, at first he simply kept track of expenses in Excel, then made a web form, and finally turned it into a separate application for the iPhone. Gunko notes that he works as a frontend engineer and does not have much experience in native development, so AI helped him when creating the application.
Previously, dev.ua wrote that Ukrainian developer Andriy Sereda released the Expensa iOS application for accounting for personal and family finances.
