Uniting IT professionals, doctors, and psychologists in a team, they began working on the project in 2022. Prior to this, the founders of the startup already had experience implementing technological medical projects, in particular, the medical chatbot "Marta", which became the basis for the creation of Sympto.me, Vector writes .
Sympto.me is a mobile application that uses AI avatars to interact with users. It provides patient support before and after a visit to the doctor, helps assess symptoms, provides recommendations and explanations, and also helps in managing the psychological state. In the direction of psychological support, the application offers tests, self-monitoring techniques. All this is built on algorithms developed by practicing doctors and psychologists.
The application does not diagnose or replace a doctor or psychologist - it is an assistant to them, but it can check symptoms in adults and children, finding out their possible cause and further steps. If the situation requires the attention of a specialist, the service will notify you and suggest how to alleviate the symptoms before the visit to him, and all the collected information is sent to the patient's doctor.
Sympto.me operates on a subscription model. There is a free trial period to evaluate the effectiveness of using the service.
The startup has already received two grants: in 2023, 20,000 euros as part of the Act to Support acceleration program from the Eastern Europe Foundation and last year, $30,000 as one of the winners of the Open Data Accelerator.
The plans include entering the UK market, expanding the B2B segment in Ukraine, and improving the application.
