OBOZ.UA was informed about this by lawyer and partner of VB Partners Denys Shkarovsky, who represents the interests of Universal Bank, on the basis of which monobank operates.
According to him, state experts have determined that the fragment of the flag from Kolb’s video verification corresponds to the visual characteristics of the flag of the Russian Federation, not Slovenia. The bank reported this to the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to the results of the analysis, the expert found that the fragment of the flag on the wall of the room corresponds to the visual characteristics of the Russian flag and looks like a Russian one. In particular, the absence of the Slovenian coat of arms was noted, as well as the fact that «the fragment of the flag from the video does not look like the flag of the Republic of Slovenia,» Shkarovsky said.
Earlier, the ADDATI GROUP law firm announced that it represents Karina Kolb, whose photo against the background of the tricolor was previously published by monobank co-owner Oleg Gorohovsky. It will defend her «due to a gross violation of her right to privacy, protection of personal data, and respect for honor and dignity.»
The girl claimed that the flag in the background was not Russian, and demanded an apology from Oleg Gorokhovsky, unblocking the account, and compensation for «moral and emotional suffering.»
At the same time, the co-owner of Monobank faced criticism for publishing the client’s personal data on the social network Threads, and the National Bank announced that it seeks to obtain an explanation through this post.
«The bank did not violate the legislation on the protection of personal data and banking secrecy,» Denys Shkarovsky emphasized.
