Maleev explained the reasons for this decision in a separate video on his YouTube channel.
Among such reasons, he cited the lack of a normal work-life balance in the United States, the desire for further development in his current company Agoda, as well as the development of his own projects, for which, if he worked at Meta, he would not have enough time.
«In the US, people live to work, not work to live,» he expressed his opinion.
In addition, Maleev explained to his subscribers all the benefits of living in Thailand, where he is currently, compared to the States, which also tipped the scales in favor of staying at his current job.
«If you move to a new country now and work for Meta, you will have much less time and energy, and secondly, Meta pays so much that you think — fuck these projects, you’re fine as it is. And now is the moment when I can create something of my own,» he said.
Although, according to the IT worker, the conditions offered by Meta, compared to all other offers during his career, were sky-high.
