Gifts that users receive on Telegram can now be made collectible. Collectible gifts have special attributes and can be transferred to other users or auctioned on NFT sales platforms.
Currently, over 20 existing gifts can be turned into collectibles. In total, over 1,400 unique designs are available, and their number will be increased.
When someone sends you a gift, joins a group, or starts a video chat, a special service message appears in the conversation. These messages now support reactions, so you can thank or welcome new members with just two taps.
The search bar in the chat list lets you quickly find messages from any chat. The results in the Chats tab now have additional filters that let you filter the list to show only results from personal chats, group chats, or channels.
Telegram allows public figures and organizations to be verified so that users can quickly identify official sources of information. To further increase Telegram’s transparency, official third-party services can now assign additional verification badges to user accounts and chats.
“This decentralized platform for additional verification will help prevent fraud and reduce the amount of misinformation with a unique proactive solution that sets a new security standard for social platforms,” the messenger blog says .
When a chat or account is verified by a third party, a small logo appears in front of its name. If you open the user's profile, you will see a detailed explanation of its status and its meaning.
Third-party verification is completely separate from the verification checks that Telegram provides for public figures and organizations. In order to provide third-party verification to others, the service must first be verified by Telegram and fill out an application.
Anyone can create their own chat folders to organize their conversations. Folder names now support custom emojis, allowing Premium users to make their folders more expressive or minimalistic by replacing text with specific icons.
The built-in camera on Android and iOS now recognizes QR codes by default, opening links in your favorite browser without switching apps.
