The platform allows you to quickly «swipe» and sort through your accumulated titles to choose an interesting project.
The developer, who also heads the indie studio Dumbbell Games, announced the launch of his non-profit project on the social network X (Twitter).
«Today, it’s about pointless side quests: I created a site where, like Tinder, you can scroll through and select games from your Steam library that you haven’t opened yet. Right: I’ll play, left: skip,» the project’s author wrote.
To use Dustpile, you don’t need to create an account or log in through third-party services. All you need to do is paste a link to your public Steam profile. After that, the app analyzes your library and turns each unplayed game into a separate interactive card.
The cards display key data: cover art, genre tags, Steam price, Metacritic rating, excerpts from other players' reviews, and screenshots. An important element is the integration with the HowLongToBeat database, which shows the approximate time it takes to complete the game. Based on this data, the user makes a quick choice: swiping right leaves the game in the queue, and swiping left hides it completely.
Once the sorting is complete, Dustpile generates a shortlist of selected games, grouped by genre. The results can be exported in JSON or CSV formats, or shared with a direct link to the list. In addition, the application has a sorting mode by wishlist and a statistics screen that calculates the total value of unplayed titles that are lying idle. The platform supports 12 languages.
In the Ukrainian segment, tools for recording game statistics are also actively developing. In particular, the domestic game tracker GRAVK recently celebrated its launch anniversary. On the occasion of the first year of the project, the developer under the nickname N1kk0 published an appeal to the community: «Sincere gratitude to everyone who still uses, helps develop the service, and consistently supports it.»
Along with the anniversary, the platform received the v1.35.0 update, which introduced an achievement system, sections with detailed activity and ratings, and the «My Backlog» button in the community backlog now functions as a convenient filter.
