CEO and CTO of Fire Point, Iryna Terek, spoke about the prospects of production facilities being built in Denmark.
This is reported by LIGA.net with reference to the Danish publication Berlingske. In December last year, it became known that Denmark had agreed to locate a Ukrainian plant for the production of solid rocket fuel on its territory. The Fire Point company’s enterprise will be built in the town of Vojens in the south of the country, and the launch is expected in 2026.
According to Terek, partial production could begin by the end of this year, and full capacity should be reached by 2027.
«Given current needs, production in Denmark can cover the entire European deficit in solid rocket fuel… Solid rocket fuel is the main bottleneck in rocket production worldwide,» the head of Fire Point noted.
She added that producing rocket fuel in Denmark is much more expensive than in Ukraine and has more complex logistics. However, production under the protection of a NATO country is crucial because it does not suffer from missile and drone attacks by the Russian army, as enterprises in Ukraine do.
Earlier, Iryna Terek said that Fire Point currently has almost 5,000 employees, and the company has extensive experience in employing people who, it would seem, have no relation to the defense industry, but, nevertheless, find their place in the industry.
