Ukrainian solo developer Dmytro Yarynych, who is working on a game about the dog Zhupan, published a new video of the project and told what players can expect from the upcoming demo.
«I’ve been working on this video for quite some time. Sooo, it’s just a one-minute teaser, but I think it captures the atmosphere of Tailgate really well. Honestly, I think this is exactly what the teaser should have been like when I first announced the development», the game’s creator noted.
The video shows the beginning of a story about how an elderly Labrador Retriever, Zhupan, wakes up and realizes that his human has disappeared. He sets off in search of his owner in the village of San Pedro (Kyiv region) and meets various characters.
The developer noted that the video contains Ukrainian subtitles but an English interface because he did not have the strength and time to record footage for the Ukrainian version of the game.
«The teaser is for the demo, which will feature 4 NPCs (some have quite rambling dialogues), 6 memory balls, several fetch quests (because it’s a retriever, after all), apples and puddles, platforming roses and mazes,» the developer said.
He added that he submitted a fresh build of Tailgate to participate in the Indie Blast indie project exhibition.
