NKEC has published data on the number of numbers ported to other mobile operators. In 2024, 340,635 subscribers used this service, most of them switched to lifecell, the least to Kyivstar.
In 2024, Ukrainians most often ported their numbers to lifecell — 269,767 subscribers. Vodafone came in second place — 54,116, and Kyivstar came in third — 16,616, according to the National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Electronic Communications, Radio Frequency Spectrum and Postal Services (NCEC).
If we talk about the number of numbers ported from the service provider, Kyivstar lost the most subscribers — 207,101, followed by Vodafone — 109,536 and lifecell — 22,886.
"In late December and early January 2025, the number of numbers ported to lifecell increased significantly. For example, in January, the operator recorded an average of 5,400 portings per day, and the number of applications submitted by subscribers sometimes reaches 10,000 per day," lifecell noted.

Kyivstar has signed an agreement with Starlink to implement Direct to Cell satellite communication. Ukraine may become one of the first countries to receive this technology
