In 2025, the number of AI/ML vacancies in the Ukrainian IT market almost tripled, and Front-end became the most competitive direction

Vacancies
During 2025, 78,100 vacancies were published on DOU . This is 18,000 more than in 2024. However, there were 2% fewer vacancies for technical specialists.
The top five with the largest number of vacancies has changed slightly: QA and HR have replaced Sales, which was in 4th place, and is now in 6th place.
Software Engineer — 18,002 (+2,778 compared to 2024);
Marketing — 8,399 (+1,786);
Analysts — 4,878 (+1,048);
QA — 4,640 (+1,100);
HR — 3,784 (+1,466).
Also, the number of vacancies increased the most over the year:
in the category "Military Affairs" - 1,384 (in 2024 there were 188);
AI/ML — 1,649 (554);
Hardware — 1,332 (620);
Account Manager - 751 (372).
Vacancies such as Copywriter (-3), Artist (-57), Technical Writer (-20) and Big Data (-13) went into the red.
Node.js, Front-end, and Python have seen more than 500 job openings over the year. Go, PHP, Unity, Blockchain, Scala, and Rust are currently experiencing no growth.
Competition
This year, instead of QA, Front-end confidently took the place of the most competitive direction - 95.8 responses per vacancy, in 2024 there were 87.2.
Competition has also increased significantly for:
Project Managers — average number of responses per vacancy — 58.6 (+8.9 compared to 2024);
Scrum Masters — 29.3 (+10.2);
Copywriters — 22.9 (+7.5);
.NET — 45.1 (+7.3);
Salesforce — 35.7 (+15.4);
Scala developers — 18 (+14.2).
Competition has decreased in areas such as HR, Design, QA, Java, Unity, iOS, and React Native.
