OpenAI has begun rolling out an update to ChatGPT, which, in particular, allows you to schedule tasks.
A new “Scheduled” page shortcut has appeared in the ChatGPT sidebar. Here you can view all active tasks that ChatGPT has assigned, including when they were started. From the same page, you can pause, edit, and delete any upcoming requests, reports Engadget.
At the same time, OpenAI has improved the prompt scheduling mechanism itself, noting that now “all tasks are performed faster and more reliably.” What’s more, when you ask the chatbot to do something in the future, you can specify both a specific time and a broader range of days — for example, morning, afternoon, or evening.

As you can see from the video, you can now even configure monitoring tasks — in which case ChatGPT will independently search for information on the Internet or in your connected applications.
OpenAI is rolling out the scheduled tasks feature to Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise plan users. There is no word yet on when access will be available to the free plan.
With today’s update, OpenAI is also shutting down Pulse, the personalized daily summaries feature that the company launched last year. Pro users will be able to use it for another 14 days, after which they can use the new Planning Hub to create future summaries.
