Diia launched two new services for veterans and their families
On the «Diia» portal, you can now obtain the status of a person with a disability as a result of the war and the status of a family member of a deceased defender.

«To obtain the status, you need to submit an application in a few clicks in „Diia“. You don’t need to collect additional documents, stand in lines for hours, and go through all the rounds of bureaucratic procedures, as was the case before,» says the message of the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.
Services available:
- veterans who have a disability certificate;
- to husbands, wives, parents and children of fallen defenders with documents confirming participation in hostilities, death and family ties.
How to obtain the status of a person with a disability as a result of war
- Register or log in to your citizen account at diia.gov.ua using your electronic signature or BankID.
- Check the correctness of your data in your user profile, update it if necessary.
- Select the Service — «Granting the status of a person with a disability as a result of war» from the Services menu on the Action Portal.
- Fill in the «Applicant Information» in the first step (full name, passport details, registered place of residence, etc.).
- Fill out the «Criminal Clearance Information» in the second step, if applicable.
- Indicate which category of persons you belong to who are eligible to receive the status and add information from supporting documents of your category.
- Fill in the information of the medical and social expert commission certificate.
- Choose whether you want to receive a paper certificate.
- Check and confirm the entered data by superimposing the CEP on the application generated by the system.
After the application is processed, a notification will be sent to your email address and office about granting the status of OIVV with a corresponding entry in the Unified State Register of War Veterans.
How to obtain the status of a family member of a deceased (deceased) war veteran
- Register or log in to your citizen account at diia.gov.ua using your electronic signature or BankID.
- Check the correctness of your data in your user profile, update it if necessary.
- Select the Service in the Services menu on the Diya Portal — «Obtaining the status of a family member of a deceased Defender of Ukraine.»
- Fill in the «Applicant Information» in the first step (full name, passport details, registered place of residence, etc.).
- Fill out the «Criminal Clearance Information» in the second step, if applicable.
- Enter «Information about the deceased (missing) person» (full name and date of birth).
- Attach a copy of the document confirming the family relationship and indicate the document details (series, number, date of issue, etc.).
- Indicate which category of persons the deceased (missing) family member belongs to.
- Indicate the grounds for obtaining the status of a family member of a deceased Defender of Ukraine (court decision or death certificate or Conclusion of the VLK/LKK/Medical Commission, etc.).
- Choose whether you want to receive a paper certificate.
- Check and confirm the entered data by superimposing the CEP on the application generated by the system.
After the application is processed, a notification is sent to the email address and to the office about granting the status of a veteran with a corresponding entry in the Unified State Register of War Veterans.
