Since Swarmer positions itself as a dual-use company, it is also developing the «civilian part» of the startup.
This was reported by the company’s co-founder Serhiy Kuprienko in a comment to Scroll.media.
«We are already testing the civil part in two formats: Disaster response — assistance to rescuers and firefighters. These can be fires, natural disasters, natural disasters — somewhere where a fast automated system without a person can be used. Public Safety — work at large concerts, for example. We are already even participating in certain tests both in Ukraine and around the world,» he noted.
As for attracting a new record round of investments of $15 million, Kuprienko reported that the preparation process for this step began in the spring, and the active stage of preparation fell on the summer of 2025.
According to the Swarmer co-founder, the raised funds will be used, in particular, to develop an international presence. «I can’t give details yet, but a global presence is important to us and new investments are also a way to achieve this,» he commented.
Recall that the day before it became known that the Ukrainian startup Swarmer, which creates drone swarm technology, attracted an investment of $15 million. This is estimated as the largest investment in a Ukrainian miltech startup since the beginning of the Russian full-scale invasion.
Ukrainian miltech startup Swarmer, which is working on AI technology to unite drones into a swarm, has attracted $2.7 million in investment from American funds
