The Ukrainian-American Investment & Development Fund (UAID), a US-based defense fund, has joined the pre-seed financing round of Ukrainian defense-tech startup G-Next Intelligence. The lead investor in this round was previously Final Frontier.
The startup’s founder, Oleksiy Teplukhin, announced the attraction of a new partner. According to him, the deal was closed in a short period of time after the project was presented on the Invest in Bravery investment platform.
The decision to fund the UAID Fund was made after receiving feedback on the use of the development directly in combat conditions. The due diligence process and transfer of funds lasted 15 days.
«Our team tested the effectiveness of G-Next Intelligence directly with field commanders, who reported that the system exceeded expectations, and the company responded very promptly to user feedback and proposed functionality improvements,» said Allan Reagan, Director of UAID Fund LP.
He added that positive feedback from the military was crucial for the rapid completion of legal and financial procedures — from project presentation to receiving investments into the company’s account.
The founder of G-Next Intelligence emphasized that in the field of defense technologies, due diligence is a two-way process, and startups should choose partners as responsibly as investors choose objects for financing.
G-Next Intelligence develops AI and analytics solutions for the defense sector. The amount of funds raised in the pre-seed round is not disclosed at this time.
The startup previously raised pre-seed investment from Danish fund Final Frontier. According to Teplukhin, the funding will be used to scale the product, expand the team, and develop solutions to support the military directly on the battlefield.
