The materials published by Ukroboronprom show the launch of a missile from a self-propelled launcher mounted on the chassis of a Czech Tatra truck, reports Militarny. The weapon was developed primarily as a means of intercepting air and ballistic targets as part of air defense systems, but if necessary, it can also be used to destroy ground and surface radar-contrast objects.

Dimensions: length - 4.8 m, diameter - 230/300 mm.

Development history and evolution of the project
The development of the Coral project began in 2016. Initially, the missile was created as a component of a ship-based anti-aircraft missile system. The project was presented to the general public in 2021 at the Arms and Security-2021 exhibition, where the Luch Design Bureau exhibited a full-size model. At that time, the missile was positioned as a unified modular solution for land, ship, and potentially air basing (air-to-air class).
During the development of the Ukrainian Koral missile, its technical characteristics have undergone significant growth: the total mass increased from 300 to 450 kg, the mass of the warhead increased from 25 to 36 kg, and the length of the body expanded from 4.33 to 4.8 meters. At the same time, the key combat capabilities of the complex have also increased - the range (over 30 km) and the impact height (over 10 km) declared in 2021 have been increased due to the unification of the design.
The key philosophy of the project remains maximum unification of components. Back in 2021, Oleg Korostelov, the general designer of the Luch Design Bureau, estimated the readiness of the complex at 70%. In the concept of domestic air defense systems with a range of 10 km to 100 km, Koral is considered the main medium-range solution.
