“Ukraine is no longer Chornobyl, but drones.” SBS Commander Robert “Magyar” Brovdy Calls for Export of Military Ecosystems
Ukraine should open up the possibility of exporting not only ready-made drones, but also entire technological ecosystems and unique combat experience. This should become a strategic national interest and a future budget-generating industry for the state.
Ukraine should open up the possibility of exporting not only ready-made drones, but also entire technological ecosystems and unique combat experience. This should become a strategic national interest and a future budget-generating industry for the state.
This was stated by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdy, known by the call sign "Magyar", during a speech at the 13th Kyiv International Economic Forum, LIGA.net reports . According to him, the state may be late in entering foreign markets, as other countries are already beginning to capitalize on Ukrainian developments, having partial access to data on the use of drones.
The military stressed that for most countries in the world, UAVs are just equipment. However, Ukraine's main competitive advantage lies not in the "hardware" itself, but in the system of continuous interaction between developers and the military built on the battlefield. It is the rapid adaptation and improvement of means in real conditions that form new standards of modern warfare.
"Before the war, Ukraine was associated mainly with Chernobyl, Shevchenko and so on. Now Ukraine is known all over the world as a country that has been subjected to aggression, is defending itself and is bringing such a type of weapon as drones to a fundamentally new level," the head of the SBS noted.
According to Brovdy, foreign partners should be sold a comprehensive product: technologies along with recipes for their application and personnel competencies. Foreign specialists do not take direct part in combat operations, so their understanding of Ukrainian experience remains only partial. Proper packaging of such knowledge will allow implementing domestic developments into the security protocols of partner countries.
