Ukrainian defense company General Chereshnya and Finnish defense concern Patria have agreed on strategic cooperation. The partnership provides for the localization of Ukrainian drone production in Finland, as well as the joint development of new systems for the needs of Ukraine and other European countries.
The press service of General Chereshnya reported on the signing of the relevant agreement. The agreements provide for the use of Patria's powerful industrial infrastructure for the scaling and production of Ukrainian developments.
General Chereshny is convinced that cooperation with one of the largest defense enterprises in Northern Europe will significantly accelerate the entry of Ukrainian technologies into the international market.
"Patria has been working in the defense industry for over 100 years, owns half of Nammo's shares and produces equipment for land, sea and air systems in Europe. Now, this infrastructure is being supplemented by our experience in mass production of drones for real combat missions and rapid refinement cycles based on data from the front," the Ukrainian company noted.
The agreement between the defense enterprises was also noted by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a meeting with Finnish President Alexander Stubb in Kyiv. According to him, the agreements reached go beyond just aircraft.
"Our companies have signed documents on the development and production in Finland of drones for the needs of Ukraine and Europe, expanding capabilities in the field of maritime unmanned systems, and creating an enterprise for the production of ground robotic complexes," the head of state emphasized.
Earlier, General Chereshnya signed a memorandum with French defense startup Alta Ares. As part of the cooperation, Alta Ares' artificial intelligence and autonomous guidance systems will be integrated into the Bullet interceptor drone.
