Ukrainian developer of electronic warfare systems Unwave has developed the information interaction system "Pastka" that helps the military detect and neutralize radio threats
As the chief engineer of Unwave told dev.ua, at the first Defense Tech job fair "Arsenal of Talents", we are talking about a full-fledged computerized system for creating both stationary and mobile lines that completely cover all tasks related to the detection and neutralization of radio threats.

"Trap" is not the only development of Unwave. The company has been cooperating with the state in the field of defense procurement since 2022. Unwave is engaged in the supply of personal and trench-level electronic warfare systems - Boombox, Shatro, and the Speka multi-channel anti-UAV rifle.
"Over three years in this area, we have actively re-equipped entire units with our systems through state contracts for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We have a very broad technological base for modernization of equipment, we can say that we produce turnkey electronic warfare systems," said a company representative.
The Boombox BMX250-5 MSD was presented at the exhibition - it is a multi-channel multi-frequency signal amplifier designed for the protection of positions and personnel. It is made in the format of a portable box adapted for use in trenches, has a moisture-proof housing and a built-in battery with a capacity of 60 Ah, which provides continuous operation for up to three hours under maximum load.
According to the company representative, Unwave electronic warfare systems are installed on various means of transportation: motor boats, "mraps", robotic complexes. "Fully localized Ukrainian production of jamming generators, antenna systems, components, batteries. We are working on new bands of 400, 300, 200 MHz and the development of antennas and jamming modules for these bands," the developer noted.
dev.ua managed to see the Shatro STR50-1 V device — a single-channel multi-frequency signal amplifier designed for installation on all types of mobile vehicles. The device is available in different frequency ranges (from 420 to 5850 MHz), each of which operates with a power of 50 W. The “Shatro” does not have a built-in battery and requires power from an external source of 24-28 V (5A), and for conventional cars, a converter from 12 V to 28 V is required.
According to a representative of Unwave, Boombox and Shatro are the most popular orders for the Defense Forces.

As the chief engineer noted, the company is not dependent on Chinese component supplies, although he admits that they are also used. Unwave has established connections and component supplies from Europe and America in addition to its own production.
"Since the beginning of 2023, we have established our own production of jammers for different ranges. And where our ranges were not overlapped, we have involved third-party companies that have expertise in those areas. The share of our and Chinese components in these products is 50/50. If China blocks the supply of these products to us, we are ready to completely switch to our own production," Andriy emphasized.
Unwave is actively developing the comprehensive integration of its electronic warfare systems into the military system. The company is currently working on creating integrated management of all its products, in particular, organizing a data bus to coordinate the operation of radio reconnaissance and jamming systems.
"First of all, we plan closer integration with radio intelligence systems and also integrate recently adopted and codified in the military products such as "Vitryak M". The "Pastka" information interaction system is actively being developed. This is a fully computerized system for creating both stationary and mobile lines that completely cover all tasks related to the detection and neutralization of radio threats," concluded the chief engineer of Unwave.
