«A few simple questions about age, lifestyle, medical and family history, and in 5 minutes you will receive a list of examinations that are specifically for you, with an explanation of why each of them is needed and how to prepare for it,» the application’s description on the App Store states .
The application contains, among other things:
- personal calendar of checkups and screenings based on the user’s answers;
- an explanation of why each examination is needed and how to prepare for it;
- the ability to flexibly customize the plan, including adding your own analyses and tracking your rhythm;
- a reminder when it’s time to take care of yourself.
The application description emphasizes that the application meets the parameters of evidence-based medicine and objectivity, and each recommendation is based on current international guidelines (in particular, USPSTF, NICE, ESC, ACOG, WHO).
«Our task is to suggest only what is really necessary for your prevention, without prescribing unnecessary or expensive complex profiles,» the App Store states.
Currently, the app is intended for women over the age of 18. «Both for those who are just starting their journey in self-care and for those who already have their own stable rhythm of examinations and want to keep everything in one safe place,» emphasizes the author, who also promised to create a men’s version in Threads.
At the same time, the author of the application emphasizes that Prevently is an information assistant that does not diagnose or replace a specialist’s consultation.
On LinkedIn, Valeria Starichenko also said that she received very active feedback from users about her application, based on which she has already released an update and fixed a number of bugs. «I tweaked the logic and did everything to make using the app even more convenient and useful,» the IT professional wrote.
