Ukrainian company Stetman is preparing to launch its own satellite network UASAT, a competitor to Starlink

The Ukrainian company Stetman is actively working on creating its own UASAT satellite network, which should compete with Starlink in terms of cost and characteristics.
This was stated by the company's CEO Dmitry Stetsenko in an interview with the DOU portal. Testing of UASAT terminals based on the European Jupiter 3 satellite is already in the final stage, and the company is preparing for the mass implementation of the service in Ukraine.
According to Stetsenko, the UASAT satellite network is based on the powerful European geostationary satellite Jupiter 3, which has a bandwidth of 500 Gbps. It is expected that this capacity will be enough to service 100–200 thousand terminals.
The final testing of UASAT terminals is currently underway, and should be completed within the next two weeks, after which the mass implementation of the service on the Ukrainian market will begin. All necessary contracts have already been signed.
Specifications and price
Stetman states that UASAT will be a competitive alternative to Starlink in both equipment cost and monthly subscription fee:
The price of the UASAT terminal will be about $500, which is a more advantageous offer compared to the Starlink terminal, which costs about $650.
The monthly fee for UASAT will be $100 for 5/100 Mbps. While Starlink offers slightly higher speeds (20/200 Mbps) for a similar price, Stetman emphasizes the affordability of his solution.
In addition to the deployment of the UASAT network, Stetman is actively working on creating its own universal terminal. A key feature of the terminal will be support for multiple satellite networks at once, regardless of their orbit type. To implement this ambitious project, the company is attracting FPGA specialists necessary for deep chip programming, modulation, SDR and other satellite engineering.
It is expected that Stetman's own terminals, after release, will have the appropriate certification and will be able to simultaneously support not only Starlink, but also networks such as OneWeb, Intelsat and its own UASAT. The agreement with Requtech , in particular, opens up the possibility of officially deploying solutions based on OneWeb. The company also has ambitions to enter the international market and is already testing the possibility of launching its own satellite infrastructure.
