According to DOU, those employees who remain will be involved in creating a new MVP and finding a viable product niche.
Universe Group explained that Wisey is changing the format to speed up testing new ideas and verifying their unit economics.
Universe Group also assured that the 10 people who were laid off from the Wisey team received recommendations for vacancies within the group. Another five were recommended to companies in the Genesis ecosystem.
«The Universe recruitment team has joined as career consultants to speed up the search for a new job. CEO Wisey personally provides a recommendation to anyone who needs it,» the company explains.
Employees will also be paid financial compensation, and their health insurance will be valid until mid-September 2026. The company emphasized that the changes only apply to Wisey, as other businesses of Universe Group continue to operate as usual.
We remind you that Wisey is developing an ecosystem of services to increase users' personal productivity. The company’s main market is the United States and other English-speaking countries.
It is worth noting that the US Federal Trade Commission recently filed a lawsuit against Genesis over «deceptive subscription schemes.» Questions arose about the company’s Nebula, Wisey, Lumi, Harna, and other products.
