Although the indicators rose and fell during the year, the industry still ended the first half of the year in the red. Last year, during the same period, Ukraine exported IT services worth $3.21 billion. This year, it is $133 million, or 4.14%, more.
The main market remains the USA. In June alone, services worth $193 million were exported there. Next are Cyprus, Malta and the UK. The top ten markets also include Estonia, Switzerland, Poland, Israel, Germany and the UAE.
In addition, Defense Tech "falls out" of the usual statistics of computer services exports. As noted by the CEO of the IT Ukraine Association, Maria Shevchuk: "At the same time, the DefenseTech direction, which is increasingly actively entering international markets, is not included in the export of IT services. Therefore, the real contribution of the technology sector to the formation of Ukraine's export potential is greater than the NBU's computer services statistics demonstrate."
Previously, dev.ua wrote that in May 2026, the export of Ukrainian IT services amounted to $560 million. Despite a 3% drop compared to April, the industry remained in the black on an annual basis.
