«We need to take care of the administrative part. Decide which people to hire in Ukraine. One of the requirements is to have a list of mandatory roles. In particular, hire full local management for the bank: a financial director, heads of compliance, risk management, and financial monitoring departments. We plan to do this in 2025, but I can’t say more specifically right now», — Strelchuk said in an interview with DOU.
Revolut currently has a full-time position open in Ukraine for a Head of Legal position. The company plans to hire other specialists in the future.
«Unfortunately, we are not hiring new technical specialists at this time. However, we have 40 engineers in the team who are physically in Ukraine and working on global products,» said Revolut’s head of new markets launch. He clarified that the company cannot currently hire engineers in Ukraine due to the risks of a full-scale Russian invasion.
«We plan to return to Diya City and create jobs. There are very talented and hardworking engineers in Ukraine. We know this very well, because there are many Ukrainians in Revolut — more than 200 specialists in total», — said Dmytro Strelchuk.
He added that currently about 50 people are part-time involved in the launch of Revolut in Ukraine, and 10 specialists work full-time in the main company.
Revolut previously stated that Ukrainians formed the largest waiting list the company had on a «global scale,» but did not specify how many Ukrainians had already gained access to the application.
On February 11, the neobank app Revolut exited beta testing in Ukraine and became available to all users. Verification is done through «Diya», a video recording, and a passport photo.
