A grant program for developers of fire-fighting drones is launched in Ukraine: how manufacturers can get 8 million UAH
The Ukrainian Startup Fund, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Brave1, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, announces a grant program for manufacturers of fire-fighting unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and ground robotic systems (GRS). Developers will be able to receive a grant of up to UAH 8 million to create innovative systems capable of extinguishing fires in the most dangerous and hard-to-reach places.
The Ukrainian Startup Fund, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Brave1, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, announces a grant program for manufacturers of fire-fighting unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and ground robotic systems (GRS). Developers will be able to receive a grant of up to UAH 8 million to create innovative systems capable of extinguishing fires in the most dangerous and hard-to-reach places.
Who can receive a grant?
Manufacturers of fire-fighting UAVs with remote control, fire extinguishing agents, which are capable of flying for 45 minutes with a load and carrying cargo up to 25 kg, as well as operating at temperatures from -10 to 60 °C.
Manufacturers of fire-fighting NRCs with a remotely controlled fire barrel, a control radius of 2 km and a load capacity of 200 kg.
Grant details
The maximum grant amount that one developer can receive is UAH 8 million.
At the same time, within the framework of the Grant Program, up to 5 grants can be received in one budget year for a total amount not exceeding UAH 30 million.
Developers may submit no more than one application for one development, except in cases of re-funding in the event of an improvement in the development.

"Ukrainian drones and robots have already become a game changer on the battlefield, and they are also capable of increasing the state's efficiency in extinguishing fires. The grant program from USF and Brave1 will help launch the market for firefighting drones. And Ukrainian rescuers will receive innovative means that will enable them to extinguish fires without endangering personnel," noted First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
The UAVs and NRCs selected under the grant program will be sent to the units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine for operation and involvement in responding to emergency situations.
