Footage of the interception was published by activist and volunteer Serhiy Sternenko. According to «Military», the enemy drone lost control and flew to the ground when a Ukrainian interceptor drone approached it. This may indicate the use of an onboard electronic warfare station.
Similar cases were previously reported by Russian Telegram channels. According to them, this may involve exploiting a vulnerability in ERLS control systems with telemetry enabled, which allowed detecting the operating frequency of UAV control signals. This allows creating a point jamming in a narrow frequency range, which can be done from a drone.
Previously, the Ukrainian military managed to find and use an exploit for Russian Molniya drones, which allowed them to detect and destroy the pilots who were flying them. To do this, Ukrainian interceptor drones were equipped with a special device that received the necessary data upon approach .
Recall that last fall, the Russian occupation army began using small plywood Molniya UAVs with warheads against Kharkiv. Previously, they were used mostly as decoys for Ukrainian air defense, but they also began to pose a mortal danger to Kharkiv residents, who claimed that they did not raise air alarms.
