Estonian-Ukrainian defense technology company DoD Solution, which develops on-board computers and autonomy systems for UAVs, announced a strategic partnership with Lantronix.
As you know, the latter is a global provider of Edge AI and Industrial Internet of Things solutions for unmanned systems.
«The capabilities of modern autonomous drones are determined not only by their sensors, but also by the intelligence operating directly on board. AURA AI is a comprehensive onboard autonomy platform that combines DoD Solution software with its own AURA SBC on-board computer and provides environmental perception, visual navigation, target recognition and tracking, and terminal guidance directly on board the aircraft,» said Roman Gapachilo, CEO of DoD Solution, quoted by the press service.
He also emphasized that the integration of the Lantronix solution ready for serial use into the AURA SBC on-board computer makes it possible to significantly reduce deployment times and develop the capabilities of new generation drones for the European market and the markets of partner countries.
It is also reported that such integration provides the AURA SBC with on-board computing power optimized according to SWaP parameters.
«Our collaboration with DoD Solution demonstrates the growing demand for high-performance AI platforms with low power consumption that meet stringent US regulatory requirements while enabling rapid deployment,» said Lantronix Chief Revenue Officer Kurt Goff.
According to both partner companies, their engineering teams have completed platform integration and are preparing to begin production.
Deftech startup DoD Solution has appointed Igor Yevchynets as CTO. Now the startup’s CEO, CPO, and CTO are graduates of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics at Franko University
