Ukrainian developer of reconnaissance systems Skyeton presented the modified Remora ammunition for the Raybird drone at the XPONENTIAL Europe exhibition in Düsseldorf.
"Remora is a new generation guided munition. It is designed to expand the combat functions of small UAVs. This is the world's first solution for tactical drones weighing up to 25 kg, which allows delivering ammunition deep into the enemy's rear," Skyeton CEO Roman Knyazhenko told Military.
Remora guidance can be done in fully automatic mode thanks to the target acquisition system or in manual control mode.
The technical characteristics of the ammunition are as follows:
Warhead: cumulative-thermobaric or high-explosive fragmentation;
Warhead weight: 1.5 - 2.5 kg;
Speed after drop: 140 km/h;
Targeting system: target acquisition and terminal guidance.
According to the developers, the new ammunition will allow the drone to inflict precise damage while remaining unnoticed by enemy detection equipment.
Previously, dev.ua reported that Skyeton integrated a laser irradiation system for guiding corrected ammunition into the ACS-3 Raybird UAV.
