Ukrainian Vlad Yatsenko, co-founder and chief technical officer (CTO) of one of the largest European fintech services Revolut, will leave his position in July 2026.
This is reported by Bloomberg, citing an official statement from the company. Yatsenko will move to the position of non-executive director on the company’s board of directors, where he will focus on strategic issues and share experience outside of daily operational activities.
The CTO role, now renamed Vice President of Technology, will be held by Donato Lucia. He joined Revolut in 2018 as a Senior Software Engineer and most recently served as Head of Technology, where he was responsible for building the core infrastructure of the digital bank.
«I am pleased with this decision, as Revolut has transformed from a young, ambitious startup into a mature, influential global company,» Vlad Yatsenko said in a statement.
Yatsenko became the first employee of the future fintech giant a year before its official launch in 2015. He shared the status of co-founder with Russian Nikolai Storonsky.
This is not the only high-profile personnel change in the company recently: previously, Revolut’s Head of Expansion, Dmytro Strelchuk, who had worked at the startup for seven years, left.
