This was reported by the company’s CEO Igor Smilyansky in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
«It will be exactly like in Nova Poshta,» he emphasized, commenting on the launch of the parcel management function. Currently, Ukrposhta customers do not have the opportunity to change delivery parameters or pay for shipments online through the application.
In addition, by the end of the summer, every postman will receive a «3-in-1» device — a minicomputer with a built-in POS terminal. This will allow accepting cashless payments even in the most remote villages.
The new terminals will operate for up to eight hours without electricity and will be equipped with power banks. According to Smilyansky, this will help branches operate stably during blackouts and reduce costs for generators, which in rural areas can cost up to 15,000 hryvnias per month — more than the profit of an individual branch.
«These minicomputers have already been purchased, we are just finalizing the software,» the CEO added.
