Defense Express reported that the drone that crashed near the Independence Monument is a Lancet. These conclusions were drawn from photos showing the wreckage, namely: the Lancet's characteristic X-shaped tail with a pusher propeller and wings, on which is a number with the index RF.
The publication also suggested that artificial intelligence was most likely used in this Lancet. This is indicated by the very unusual marking in the form of colored circles.
The center of Kyiv is over 200 km from the Russian border. Can the Lancets cover such a distance? Serhiy Flesh says no.
As the Defense Ministry advisor explains, the Lancets are electric strike UAVs with a small ammunition supply for hitting front-line targets. They physically do not have such a battery life and radio control capabilities.
Serhiy Flesh believes that it is likely that the wreckage or fragments were intentionally dropped from the Shahedi as part of an enemy special information operation.
"Who writes about the drop from the Shahed. Can you imagine how to place and secure a UAV with large wings on the Shahed, which is launched from a catapult? These are not two round mines, not an FPV, and not a rocket or MANPADS," the advisor added.
