Investor Flyer One Ventures launches jobboard for startups in Central and Eastern Europe as part of Underdogs Map project
Michael Perevoznik, an associate at Flyer One Ventures, has launched an updated version of Underdogs Map, an interactive map of startups and investors in Central and Eastern Europe, which now also works as a personalized job feed.
Michael Perevoznik, an associate at Flyer One Ventures, has launched an updated version of Underdogs Map, an interactive map of startups and investors in Central and Eastern Europe, which now also works as a personalized job feed.
According to Perevoznik, he has been asked hundreds of times where to look for engineering jobs, specifically at ambitious early-stage startups rather than outsourcing companies. Finding such work, he says, is extremely difficult in Eastern Europe for three reasons: traditional job boards are mostly occupied by outsourcing companies, startup vacancies are scattered across hundreds of separate career pages, and most people simply don’t have the context of which startups are currently growing and actively hiring.
According to the official project description, Underdogs Map now covers companies and funds from Ukraine, Poland, the Baltics, the Balkans, Hungary, and the rest of the CEE region — in one place:
over 740 companies and over 140 venture funds from the region;
over 6,300 current vacancies in over 150 cities;
vacancies are pulled directly from career pages and companies' recruitment systems, not through intermediaries;
filters by role, sector, company stage, location and other parameters;
a personal job feed that you can save and return to later.
Only companies and funds related to the CEE region are added to the map — founded here, with Ukrainian or Eastern European founders, or with offices in the region.
According to Perevoznik, in the service you can, for example, search for something like «Senior Engineering roles in Warsaw in a startup at the Seed or Series A stage» and get a useful list in a matter of seconds — for free. The project fundamentally does not include outsourcing companies and agencies — only carefully selected companies where you can build a technological career.
As a reminder, Underdogs Map appeared back in February 2026 as a regular interactive map of successful technology companies from Central and Eastern Europe — at the start it had only 124 companies, with the ability to filter them by development stage (from Series A to public) and country. At the same time, Perevoznik announced plans to expand the project: to add venture funds from the region and a full-fledged job board. The project is being developed as part of its Underdogs Newsletter, dedicated to the stories of founders and startups from Ukraine and CEE.
In six months, the team not only fulfilled the plans announced at the start, but also significantly exceeded the initial scale of the project — from 124 companies to over 740, with added venture funds and a full-fledged job board with over 6,300 vacancies.
You can try the service on the website underdogs.media, and subscribe to the newsletter on Substack.

IT Arena Lviv 2022
