The investment fund u.ventures has invested in PixelCrew, a new AI platform for automated digital product design. The project was founded by GitLab co-founder Dmytro Zaporozhets and Andriy Dyadyura.

u.ventures announced the new investment on its official LinkedIn page. The amount of funding and details of the deal remain confidential for now.

PixelCrew positions itself as a platform that brings together a virtual team of specialized AI agents. It includes a “researcher,” an “art director,” and a “UX designer.” Together, they generate design and code based on user requests.

The main feature of the product is the ability to transform ideas into finished designs using simple text queries (prompts) in natural language.

Representatives of u.ventures noted that their investment is aimed at supporting the startup team and developing their approach to using artificial intelligence in the field of design.

Recall that u.ventures is an investment vehicle of the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund (UMAEF), which specializes in supporting Ukrainian and Moldovan technology companies. Dmytro Zaporozhets is a well-known Ukrainian developer and entrepreneur who in 2011 co-founded the GitLab developer platform (now the company's market capitalization on the stock exchange exceeds $8 billion).
